Course

During their training, our students learn graphic design, editorial design, graphic storytelling and design history. We focus on the proximity between theory and practice, and the Bachelor's degree course is divided into two sections. You learn theoretical and design skills in the first three semesters. In order to be able to solve the set communication tasks, our students learn methods for research, analysis, conception and design as the basics of visual communication. You can use these theoretical skills in practical seminars and projects. Students at the Hochschule Hannover work on creative and innovative design tasks either alone or in project groups.

Practical experience

In the second stage of your course, you can set your own focus through practice-oriented project seminars. The practical phase also gives you a first insight into professional working life and contacts to future professional fields. To gain practical experience during your studies, you can contribute to the magazines of Hochschule Hannover – University of Applied Sciences and Arts. The innovative student magazine "Brasilia" and the online magazine "magdrei.net" of the Faculty III of the Hochschule Hannover – University of Applied Sciences and Arts have already received renowned design awards. In addition to the lectures and seminars, the university offers you the opportunity to realise your ideas and expand your own skills.
