Journalism (BJO)

Study journalism in Hanover with a practical orientation

Writing reports, producing television reports, designing longreads - journalism teaches all this and more. Students learn professional skills such as research, copy-writing and production and put what they have learned in theory to the test in practical projects. The course is underpinned by communication science content.

Course structure

Journalistic and media science basics make up the first part of the course. Afterwards, students spend the 3rd semester in the practice of media companies of their choice. The second part of the course, from the 4th semester onwards, deepens journalistic skills. The course ends with a practical project and the Bachelor's thesis.
