The research and development activities of the Hochschule Hannover - University of Applied Sciences and Arts are characterised by their closeness to application and the diversity that also characterises the educational spectrum of the university's five faculties. The university's current research priorities are oriented towards the needs of society and industry. Cooperation and joint development projects with external partners are an essential component of this. They enable direct access to innovative questions and the direct transfer of research and development results into practice.
Application-oriented research as well as active knowledge and technology transfer at the Hochschule Hannover - University of Applied Sciences and Arts are imperative for the attractiveness of teaching with regard to rapid scientific and technological progress. For our students, these activities are indispensable from the point of view of the quality and topicality of teaching. At the same time, the successful shoulder-to-shoulder cooperation of the university with industry is reflected in the research projects funded with third-party funds, which deal with application-oriented issues, especially in medium-sized industry.
