Working together to find solutions

As a ‘workshop for the future’, we bring people, ideas and perspectives together so that research, teaching and collaborative work can give rise to new solutions to the challenges of our time.

In competence centers and innovation labs, we develop concepts and test new approaches in practice. Educational programmes, events, dialogue platforms and international collaborations create opportunities to learn from each other, get involved and actively help shape the future.

This creates a network in which knowledge makes a difference – through shared ideas, social engagement and strong partnerships.

KITE – Competence Center for AI Transformation and Empowerment

We integrate artificial intelligence into research, teaching and practice. Through consultancy, infrastructure and opportunities for dialogue, we empower students, lecturers, researchers and staff to use AI effectively, unlock its potential and play an active role in shaping the future.

co:sie – Competence Center for Sustainable Innovation and Entrepreneurship

We foster sustainable innovation at the university – collaboratively, practically and with a focus on impact. We support students and staff in developing innovative solutions, implementing projects and fostering an entrepreneurial mindset.

cAIre_lab – Innovation Lab for Artificial Intelligence and Participation

We develop AI solutions that support people in their daily lives and create new opportunities for social inclusion. Together with our partners, we design technologies that make education, work and independent living easier – tailored to the real needs of users.

EnergyZERO Campus – Innovation Lab for a Climate-Neutral Campus

We develop and test solutions for sustainable energy supply and efficient building management. Together with partners, staff and students, we are turning the Linden Campus into a pilot project for a climate-neutral university.

useLAB – Innovation Lab for Dress, Product and Space

We combine craftsmanship and technology with design to rethink products and processes. At useLAB, we develop materials and prototypes that keep resources in circulation and prevent waste through sustainable design strategies. By sharing our knowledge, we encourage people to adopt more conscious consumption habits.

Zukunftshaus MINT – Discover the future, develop perspectives

We inspire children and young people to take an interest in Mathematics, computer sciences, natural sciences and technology. Through workshops, experiments and the StudyMINT orientation semester, we open up access to key topics for the future, such as artificial intelligence and sustainability.

HsH-Akademie – Centre for continuing education

We support specialists and managers from industry, the healthcare sector and public administration in developing the skills they'll need for the workplace of tomorrow. To support this, we develop new, practice-oriented continuing education programmes on AI and sustainability. These can be flexibly tailored to suit each individual, ensuring a personalised and inspiring learning journey.

Scientific Dialogue – promoting dialogue and exchange

Good ideas emerge where people listen to one another, learn from one another and bring together different perspectives. Through the media, events, dialogue formats and opportunities for participation, we foster exchange between science, business and society, and invite everyone to play an active part in shaping the future.

Internationalisation – sharing knowledge in a global network

Global challenges require international cooperation. Through partnerships with universities, businesses and organisations around the world, we learn from one another, share knowledge and develop new ideas. Different perspectives enrich our work and help us to find sustainable solutions together.

KITE in dialogue with a delegation from the Israeli Teaching and Learning Centre Forum

At the invitation of the Service Center for Teaching Excellence, we at KITE had the pleasure of welcoming a delegation from the Israeli Teaching and Learning Centres Forum to the Linden campus of Hochschule Hannover - University of Applied Sciences and Arts, where we held an in-depth discussion on AI in higher education.

Kick-off Event for DriFT@HsH

With DriFT@HsH, Hochschule Hannover - University of Applied Sciences and Arts is launching a major strategic project focusing on artificial intelligence and sustainability. With funding of €16.25 million, the aim is to apply AI in teaching, research and practice in a practical way and to establish it as a key skill for the future.
