Our Exchange Programmes

There are many ways to join Hochschule Hannover - University of Applied Sciences and Arts as an exchange student. Whether for a semester, a full academic year, through programmes such as ERASMUS+ or 3plus1, or as a Free Mover, you will find the right option for your study experience here.

At Hochschule Hannover, we welcome both students who apply through established partnerships or exchange programmes and those who choose to study independently without a formal agreement between universities (Free Movers). Explore the different pathways and find the one that suits you best.

ERASMUS+

ERASMUS+ is the European Union programme for education, youth, and sport. This successful initiative offers a wide range of opportunities to support the internationalisation of European higher education institutions, working in cooperation with partner universities both within the European Union and beyond.

ERASMUS Charter of Higher Education (ECHE)

The ERASMUS Charter of Higher Education (ECHE) is a prerequisite for participating in the ERASMUS+ programme. By applying for and signing the ECHE, an institution commits to adhering to the principles and quality standards of ERASMUS+. Hochschule Hannover has been awarded the ECHE for the 2021–2027 programme cycle, ensuring its continued participation in ERASMUS+ initiatives.

Co-funded by the EU

Please find the ECHE and the European Policy Statement here:

Hochschule Hannover actively encourages and supports exchange student mobility (Incoming) through the ERASMUS+ programme. If you are interested in joining us on an ERASMUS+ exchange, please get in touch with our Advisor for Exchange Students for guidance and support.
