Supply Chain Management SCM
SCM (Supply Chain Management) represents a holistic (also cross-company) view of the business processes of logistics and production with the aim of optimally designing and operating these processes. Both customer requirements, such as short delivery times and high adherence to delivery dates, and internal company goals, such as low inventories and short throughput times, must be taken into account.

Objectives of the course
The aim of the Bachelor's degree course in Business Information Systems is to prepare students for a responsible professional activity in information processing in companies and to provide them with the knowledge, skills and methods required for this. Graduates should be able to independently acquire further knowledge and develop findings on a scientific basis and use them in an application-oriented manner.
The students acquire the specialist knowledge required for the operational practice of information processing in an application-oriented manner and can use the specialist methods in practice. They have the necessary knowledge to analyse and design operational information systems and structures and to plan, implement and control corresponding actions.
Course prerequisites
Entitlement to study in the Bachelor's course in “Business Information Systems" is proven by the general university entrance qualification, the subject-related university entrance qualification, the entrance qualification for universities of applied sciences, a passed matriculation examination or a previous education recognised by the Ministry of Education and Cultural Affairs as being of equal value. Students are admitted to the programme at the beginning of each summer semester (1 March of each year) and each winter semester (1 September of each year). When registering for a course of study, deadlines and special regulations such as the admission regulations must be observed. It is possible to improve one's chances of admission by taking a voluntary aptitude test (pay attention to the registration deadlines!).
